導讀：名校MBA申請中最為關(guān)鍵的，除了文書(shū)外就是面試?；旧螹7 School都會(huì )設計面試來(lái)選拔學(xué)生。分數，簡(jiǎn)歷，essay決定了申請者能不能拿到面試，而只有通過(guò)面試，才可以最終拿下錄取。

不同學(xué)校會(huì )設計不同的面試來(lái)篩選申請者，有的甚至要求先進(jìn)行小組群面，再進(jìn)行單獨面試。盡管面試發(fā)的很多，但面試的淘汰率還是很高，根據學(xué)校不同，一般是面試錄取率保持在20-60%左右。所以，拿到面試通知甚至還不能篤定地說(shuō)自己拿到了conditional offer。

對于英語(yǔ)也不是母語(yǔ)的學(xué)生來(lái)說(shuō)，這一環(huán)節尤其困難。那么面試這一部分就成為花時(shí)間最多的部分。要記住，MBA的面試形式是behavior interview，是關(guān)于生活以及工作的。搜集面經(jīng)雖然有用，但回答需要自己去好好構思。
 

首先，要清楚面試的核心目的。MBA項目的interview問(wèn)題主要是了解你，而不是為了考你一個(gè)非常細節的專(zhuān)業(yè)知識，大家可以用story-base的思路去準備，很多問(wèn)題萬(wàn)變不離其宗，比如tell me about yourself, what are your biggest weakness/strengths，where do you see yourself in 10 years，這類(lèi)都是自我了解類(lèi)型的題目。大家有必要去素材比較豐富的ChaseDream論壇搜索下這類(lèi)問(wèn)題的100種不同問(wèn)法。以下列舉下business school最常問(wèn)的若干問(wèn)題：

 

Tell me about yourself.

Your answer should be 2-3 minutes long. Talk briefly about:

Your undergraduate education and why you chose the major you did

Your work experience and accomplishments

Your career goals

Why do you want to earn a graduate business degree?

Explain in detail your motivation for pursuing a graduate business degree and how the degree will further your career goals. Emphasize how this degree is a critical part of your career plan.

Why are you interested in this school/program?

List all the reasons the school/program is ideally suited for you, from location to faculty to coursework to the school’s connections with specific industries and companies that match your career goals.

Why should we admit you?

Talk about your academic and professional accomplishments and how they make you an ideal fit for the program. Then discuss how this specific program will help you achieve your career goals.

Talk about your accomplishments as a leader.

Have several leadership examples prepared, both from work and in your volunteer and community roles.

What are your strengths and weaknesses?

Addressing strengths is fairly easy. Pick three that you feel set you apart and that you can back up with examples. As for weaknesses, turn your shortcomings into strengths. For example, you could explain how your impatience allows you to get things done quickly.

Do you have any questions about the school or program?

Have a selection of specific program or school-related questions ready, which shows that you are a serious candidate and have done your research. Avoid questions that are easily addressed by reviewing the school’s website or print collateral.

 

在瀏覽了面經(jīng)里換湯不換藥的上百條問(wèn)題后，你可以按照了解自我、展望未來(lái)規劃、具體經(jīng)歷能力展示案例等幾個(gè)大模塊去分類(lèi)面經(jīng)題目，然后你就發(fā)現，然后你就會(huì )發(fā)現很多問(wèn)題都可以用同一套答案去回答。

 

而說(shuō)到答案，不建議去參考別人怎么回答。面經(jīng)最有效的使用方法是，默讀題目，在腦子里播放題目，模擬自己對聽(tīng)到英文原題的反應，然后自己構建答案內容。盡量在腦子里全部過(guò)一遍，確保自己不會(huì )在當下全無(wú)思路。

然后，準備故事。你的故事不用很專(zhuān)業(yè)，可以來(lái)源于生活工作中，主要體現性格以及過(guò)去成就，還有可以反映對未來(lái)生活的成熟度。最常問(wèn)的問(wèn)題，你最大的成功，失敗，挑戰，幾個(gè)特點(diǎn)或者小組工作經(jīng)驗。準備故事很重要，體現你的性格，展現你的成就。最好是真實(shí)故事，也可虛擬一些。

接著(zhù)，每天訓練。這一個(gè)環(huán)節類(lèi)似于PS，需要在面試中抓取自己過(guò)往經(jīng)歷中的閃光點(diǎn)，侃侃而談，描述自己的過(guò)去，展現自己思維的流暢和為人的氣質(zhì)。

記住，背答案的你和從容不迫的你會(huì )在考官心目中留下不同的印象分，你的英語(yǔ)可以有些許語(yǔ)法和口語(yǔ)問(wèn)題，但盡量在氣場(chǎng)上做到從容、不緊張、不尷尬。要知道, MBA本身錄取的是有一定工作經(jīng)歷的職場(chǎng)人士，如果對著(zhù)一個(gè)面試官犯緊張，那么即使你把你想說(shuō)的全部事無(wú)巨細地表達到了，也會(huì )給自己扣分。

掌握上述思路后，有必要通過(guò)背誦來(lái)練習一則確定百搭的小故事，也可以打亂順序，每天即興對著(zhù)鏡子來(lái)一段自我介紹或者經(jīng)歷描述或者見(jiàn)個(gè)小段子，都能讓自己的演說(shuō)口才變得流利且從容不迫，當然最好的訓練方式就是mock interview。
