2018考研如何把握英語(yǔ)中的因果關(guān)系

　　一、表示因果關(guān)系的名詞
　　常用的表示因果關(guān)系的名詞有reason, cause, factor, result, consequence等。這種形式出現的時(shí)候很好識別，沒(méi)有太大難度，我們簡(jiǎn)單來(lái)看兩個(gè)例句：
　　Robert's illness is the result of drinking heavily.肯生病的原因是酗酒。
　　Smoking is the biggest preventable cause of death and disease.吸煙是造成不必要疾病和死亡的最大原因。
　　二、表示因果關(guān)系的連接副詞
　　鏈接副詞在分句之間起連接作用，充當連接性狀語(yǔ)。常用的表示因果關(guān)系的連接副詞有therefore, hence, thus, accordingly和consequently等。來(lái)看例句：
　　Agriculture has developed rapidly, thus providing light industry with ample raw materials. 農業(yè)迅速發(fā)展，從而為輕工業(yè)提供了充足的原料。
　　We have a different background, a different history. Accordingly, we have the right to different futures.我們擁有不同的背景、不同的歷史。因此，我們有權獲得不一樣的前途。
　　三、表示因果關(guān)系的介詞短語(yǔ)
　　常用的表示因果關(guān)系的簡(jiǎn)單介詞有from, at, through和with等。表示因果關(guān)系的介詞短語(yǔ)有because of, due to, owing to, thanks to, as a result of, in consequence of, on account of等。
　　My parents always rejoice at my success.我的父母總是為我的成功而欣喜。
　　With a mind prepared by thorough school discipline, the American boy develops rapidly into the skilled workman.由于有了學(xué)校徹底訓練過(guò)的頭腦。
　　四、表示因果關(guān)系的特殊結構
　　還有一些特殊的短語(yǔ)結構同樣能表達出因果關(guān)系，比如with the explanation that，be responsible for等。下面來(lái)看一道2011年的考研真題：
　　In recent weeks the No.2 executives at Avon and American Express quit with the explanation that they were looking for a CEO post.
　　題干：According to Paragraph 2, senior executives’ quitting may be spurred by______.
　　[A]their expectation of better financial status.
　　[B]their need to reflect on their private life.
　　[C]their strained relations with the boards.
　　[D]their pursuit of new career goals.
　　先讀題干，確定定位的關(guān)鍵詞senior executives’ quitting高層管理人員的辭職，spurred by“刺激，激勵”，這種離職潮是受到什么東西的激勵。題干告訴了我們結果，要求尋找原因，所以返回原文先定位結果出處。根據原因結構詞with the explanation that確定答案出現在其后。四個(gè)選項中只有D選項和原文使用了上下義詞的替換，即new career goals等同于CEO post。
　　總的來(lái)說(shuō)，英語(yǔ)中表示因果關(guān)系的方式很多，除原因狀語(yǔ)從句之外，名詞、介詞、連接副詞等也都可以用來(lái)表示邏輯上的因果關(guān)系。希望2018考研學(xué)子全面把握。
